Javier Reynoso, research professor at EGADE Business School and renowned specialist in the field of Service Management, was admitted as a member of Mexican Academy of Sciences (AMC), during the opening ceremony of the LVIII Academic Year of this prestigious institution.
The arrival of Professor Reynoso at the AMC is yet another major achievement in his career as an educator and researcher. His globally famous work has led him to participate in important conferences in Germany, Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, China, Spain, United States, Finland, France, Holland, England, Ireland and Sweden, among others.
“Being a member of the AMC implies an enormous responsibility and commitment to contribute to the development of education and science in our country, in particular toward Mexico’s young people. Discovering the true meaning and relevance of belonging to the AMC fills me with joy and hope as it gives me the opportunity to impact children and young students and researchers through my area of influence: Service Management,” Professor Reynoso commented after the ceremony.
Reynoso was the first Latin American researcher to be admitted to the International Academy of Services, launched the initiative of the Latin American Academy of Service Management, and has been the three-time winner of the Teaching and Research Award of Tecnológico de Monterrey.
He was also the first Latin American researcher in the Global Faculty Network, of the Center for Services Leadership (CSL), Arizona State University, and is an International Fellow of the Service Research Center at Karldstad University, among many other achievements.
Last year, this outstanding professor, member of the Department of Administration, Entrepreneurship and Marketing at EGADE Business School, was named International Fellow of the Service Research Center (CTF, in Swedish) at Karldstad University, Sweden.
Apart from Javier, another 65 scientists and researchers were admitted as AMC members, in a ceremony in which the Doctor in Physics José Luis Morán López assumed the presidency of the institution for the 2017-2020 period.
“Continuing to bring together scientists from every area is a priority, in order to foster collaboration in solving the complex issues of Mexico and the world,” said Morán López during the ceremony, held at the AMC Mexico City site.
