More than 100 global leaders came together in Mexico City from March 21 to 23, on the second stop of the OneMBA Class of 2019 Latin Week. During these days, they enjoyed talks and conferences with diverse company directors to discuss the economic perspectives and strategies for doing business in the region, while experiencing the local culture first-hand.
The first session, held at the J.W. Marriot hotel in Mexico City, began with a welcome message by Professor Miguel Moreno Tripp, Director of the OneMBA in Mexico. The group then attended conferences by Kena Yañez and Miguel Valdez, from ProMéxico, and Félix Cárdenas, Director of the EGADE Business School Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
On the second day of activities, the group was able to talk with Fernando Castilla, CEO of 7Eleven México, Raúl Avalos, head of the Home Entertainment/Camera & Video Division of Amazon Mexico, Óscar Robles, CEO of ePesos, Alejandro Poiré, Dean of the School of Government and Transformation of Tecnológico de Monterrey, and María Rivero, CEO of Viñedos Rivero González.
The event ended on Friday 23 with a work session at EGADE Business School Santa Fe, conferences by René Salazar, Senior Development Manager of PayPal Mexico, and Alejandro Dieck, Assistant Director of Human Resources of Pemex, and a trip to KidZania to learn in person about its business model.
